I'll just say it: Julianne Moore was better in The Kids Are All Right. That movie was only Oscar nominated because it was a crappy year with very few stand out films.
But snubs are what has to happen when Oscar goes gaga for the films they go gaga. Christopher Nolan (Inception) is beloved by his peers in the Director's Guild but I never thought she did anything stand-out in this role,
Two years after seeing his "The Dark Knight" earn neither a best picture nomination nor a directing nod, Nolan was passed over for directing "Inception," another film both acclaimed and popular at the box office.
